1. Eligibility and acceptance
You must be at least 18, act for a legitimate business purpose, and have authority to bind the business you represent. By using the service or purchasing a listing, you accept these terms.
2. Directory service
We may publish business-provided information, organize it by category and geography, and route inquiries. A “verified” badge means only that we completed the verification steps described by us at that time; it is not an endorsement, guarantee, certification, legal opinion, or assurance of licensing in every jurisdiction.
3. User obligations
- Provide accurate, current, and authorized information.
- Maintain all required licenses, registrations, insurance, and compliance programs.
- Independently conduct due diligence before any business relationship.
- Do not upload consumer-level data, confidential data tapes, unlawful content, malware, or misleading claims.
- Do not scrape, resell, reverse engineer, or misuse directory information.
4. Listings and moderation
We may edit for formatting, request documentation, reject, suspend, rank, label, or remove content at our discretion. Paid placement affects visibility but does not replace verification or guarantee inquiries, revenue, transactions, or results.
5. Payments
Prices are shown before checkout and processed by Stripe or PayPal. Unless otherwise stated, annual listings cover one year, monthly placements cover one month, and portfolio listings cover 30 days. Fees are nonrefundable once review or publication begins, except where required by law or where we expressly agree otherwise. Recurring renewal will occur only when clearly authorized at checkout.
6. Introductions and transactions
We are not a party to agreements between users. Users are responsible for licensing, valuation, due diligence, chain of title, data security, contracts, tax treatment, consumer protection, regulatory filings, and transaction suitability. No introduction creates an agency, fiduciary, partnership, brokerage, or professional-adviser relationship.
7. Intellectual property
The platform design, branding, organization, and original content belong to DebtPortfolioDirectory.com or its licensors. Listing providers retain their submitted trademarks and content while granting us a nonexclusive license to display and promote them for directory operations.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for user conduct, inaccurate listings, missed opportunities, regulatory outcomes, data supplied outside approved forms, or indirect and consequential damages. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the fees you paid us during the prior 12 months.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content, business conduct, regulatory noncompliance, misuse of the service, or violation of these terms.
10. Suspension, disputes, and changes
We may suspend access for risk, nonpayment, or policy violations. These terms are governed by the law identified in the final version approved by company counsel. Before public launch, counsel should add the operating entity, governing-law state, venue or arbitration terms, and formal notice address.
